Your connectivity and integration device enabling native communication between Control4 and Mini/Multi-Split Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, through the SDDP software.

CoolPlug, along with CooLinkHub, allows dealers to integrate the Mini/Multi-Split HVAC system through a bi-directional communication bridge between the HVAC and Control4 keypads, thermostats, touch screens, and mobile app.

Ideal for retrofit projects with a wireless mesh network between multiple CoolPlugs and CooLinkHub.

Please Note! If you wish to connect Mini/Multi-Split Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) you will need to order a CooLinkHub Wireless. One CooLinkHub Wireless can be connected to up to 10 CoolPlug Wireless devices.

How does it work?

Mini/Multi-Split HVAC Systems are designed with a closed communication system, and as such, are extremely challenging to connect to any external automation system.

CoolPlug enables a Mini/Multi-Split HVAC to be accessible and fully controllable through the Control4 main controller, providing bi-directional communication with real-time feedback.

The CoolPlug Wireless - HVAC designated adapter, connects directly to the HVAC indoor unit on one side, and wirelessly to the CooLinkHub Wireless on the other. Our wireless network is designed as a proprietary 2.4 GHz mesh network.

The CooLinkHub, protocol converter allows SDDP integration with the Control4 system. Up to 10 CoolPlugs Wireless can be connected in a single CooLinkHub Wireless.

CoolPlug models are HVAC manufacturer specific. You are welcome to check your HVAC brand and model compatibility on our CoolPlug webpage (the list is at the bottom of the page).

Warranty Information

LIMITED WARRANTY—The Manufacturer warrants that the product will, when properly installed and used in accordance with the Documentation of the Products, perform substantially in accordance with the products specifications (Warranty) for a period of three (3) years from the date of shipment of the products (the Warranty Period).

RMA Information

Sales RMAs: All unopened Sales RMAs are subject to approval by CoolAutomation. Dealers should work directly with CoolAutomation to process Sales RMAs. Credits will be issued by Control4 to dealers after CoolAutomation has received and inspected the item(s) and issued the credit to Control4. All returns are subject to a re-stocking fee. A Sales RMA must be issued by CoolAutomation before any products may be returned. The Sales RMA number must be clearly written on both the original invoice enclosed with the returned merchandise and on the outside of the shipping carton, near or on the address label. Please keep the RMA number and reference it when calling to check on the status of your return. As a reminder, only unopened product returned within thirty days will be accepted and re-stock fees may apply.

Defective RMAs: To request a Defective RMA submit a ticket through CoolAutomation's ticketing system: https://support.coolautomation.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
